Indoor Air Quality Services Reports
Inspection reports include lab results, an interpretation of lab results compared to guidelines (when available), custom remediation guidance, and custom mitigation guidance. Read below for more information.

Indoor Air Quality Services Reporting Elements
Lab Results
Prior to your samples being sent to a laboratory, a unique project number is assigned to your samples on a chain of custody. Some companies use the property address where samples were taken to track samples, though feedback from customers indicate most of our customers prefer that their property address remains confidential. If you prefer that your property address is printed on the lab results please let us know in advance.
Your lab results will tell you what was measured and quantify what was measured. Given that labs express measurements differently depending on what is being measured, and that there are too many potential pollutants to describe on one page, the following description is an example of the most common type of lab result that customers request.
Mold Spore Air Testing Lab Results
Your mold testing lab results will include a list of mold organisms (genus level) there were observed during the analysis. The quantity of mold spores per cubic meter of air, per mold spore type will be documented along with the total mold spore count. In simpler terms, you will know which types of mold spores were detected in the area that was sampled and you will know how many mold spores there are per cubic meter of air in the sampled area, per organism type.
By taking an outside air sample in addition to indoor air samples, we can compare the relative quantities and percentages for each detected organism, which will help us understand whether mold spores in the indoor air originated from outside of the building or from indoor mold growth.
Lab Results Interpretation
You will receive a written interpretation of your lab results. The interpretation is intended to help you understand what was detected and whether or not the levels of what was detected exceeds guidelines or published exposure limits.
Custom Mitigation Recommendations
Mitigation recommendations are intended to help you understand how to stop, reverse, and/or prevent the future occurrence of measured pollutants exceeding guidelines and thresholds. Your custom recommendations are informed by observations made during the inspection and your lab results.
Typical mitigation categories include circulation, filtration, temperature control, humidity control, ventilation, exhaust, and infiltration prevention. These categories and more are thoroughly explained along with guidance in your reports.
Custom Remediation Guidance
Remediation guidance is intended to help you understand how to remove detected pollutants from your building.
Recommendations may include demolition, HEPA vacuuming, air scrubbing, treatment with chemicals, ventilation, and encapsulation. Specific explanations and guidance is provided in your reports.
Telephone Consultation
Our goal is to provide information and instructions that is easy to read, understand, and implement; however you may still have questions. We are available for you to discuss your lab results, interpretation, recommendations, and any extenuating circumstances. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions about how to improve your indoor air quality. If you are a new or existing customer and you need help, call, text, or email us.
